Improve JA Americas' programs, services and operations. JA Americas' lawful basis for processing your personal information is that it is necessary for the purpose of a legitimate interest pursued by JA Americas, i.e., to improve its programs, services, and operations. JA Americas may also process your personal information to fulfill a contract.

JA Americas Members, Regional Operating Centers (ROCs), JA Americas Alumni Groups: JA Americas may share personal information with JA Americas Members, ROCs, and JA Americas Alumni Groups to provide you with information programs and services that you have requested or that JA Americas, JA Americas Members, ROCs, and JA Americas Alumni Groups believe may be of interest to you.
Legal Obligation: JA Americas reserves the right to share your personal information when it believes such disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal requirement, such as a court order, valid discovery requests, valid subpoenas, or to protect the rights or property of JA Americas, you or third parties, and if JA Americas is acquired in a merger or acquisition.
JA Americas does not rent or sell your personal information to third parties.
What about children's programs and alumni program services?
While we encourage children to participate, we ask that children under the age of 13 do so only with the supervision of parents, guardians and/or teachers. JA Americas does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that a child under the age of 13 has provided JA Americas with his or her personal information without verifiable parental consent, JA Americas will make every effort to delete this information from its files.

JA Americas stores your personal information on JA Americas' contracted cloud-based database management services servers located in the United States, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina.
