Company of the Year 2024

Company of the Year is an annual competition that showcases the entrepreneurial skills and business knowledge of high school students participating in Junior Achievement's Company Program. It provides a platform for young people to demonstrate their achievements in a competitive setting, engaging leaders from business, education, and policy, as well as the media.

COY Influencer

To expand the event's social media reach, one young influencer will be selected to act as correspondent. This influencer will share their experience and promote the event across their social media channels, creating engaging and relevant content for their followers and the Junior Achievement community.

COY Influencer 2024 Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS - COY Influencer 2024

1. Participation Requirements

Be a Junior Achievement (JA) Alumni from the Americas region (any country of the network).

Have participated in at least one JA program in the past 5 years.

Be between 18 and 23 years old.

Not having been a COY Influencer before.

Have an active Instagram account with at least 1000 followers.

Be fluent in English (Spanish and Portuguese are a plus).

Have a valid passport and VISA (if applicable) to travel to Uruguay.

Own your own equipment for live streaming: an HD smartphone and a recording microphone.

2. How to participate

Post a 1-minute (max) video with audio editing and subtitles according with one of the two options: 1. Best anecdote, experience and learning from your time in the JA program, or 2. Why you are the best COY Influencer and this is your opportunity.

Upload your video and fill out the form from October 10 to 25 at: https://site.jaamericas.org/coy-influencer-2024 (data, video link and main question).

3. Selected COY Influencer tasks and duties

Before the Event:

From November 5, 2024, the selected influencer will work with the communications team on the COY 2024 coverage and dissemination plan.

Will create content for JA Americas' social media accounts (Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok).

This will include 3 to 5 publications (stories, posts, interviews, live videos, etc.) promoting the COY Competition.

Content should encourage followers to engage with JA Americas, tag @jaamericas, and use the hashtags #COYInfluencer and #COY2024 to increase visibility.

During the Event:

Will be required to post a minimum of 3 stories per day and at least 2 posts on the JA Americas accounts during the event, from December 3 to December 5, 2024.

Content should cover event highlights, interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments to engage the audience.

Post the Event:

You will need to generate a series of interviews, live or ping pongs with the winners.

Retrieve the experience of the participants.

Work with the team to close the reports and results of the event and its dissemination.

4. How the winner will be selected

The videos will be evaluated by a jury of communication teams that will consider the quality, appeal, resources used, fluency in the language and the potential to generate content together with the COY 2024 communication team. Those with the best scores may also be interviewed in person.

5. Winner Announcement and Prize

The winner will be announced on November 04, 2024, through JA Americas' social media channels.

The prize includes a trip to Uruguay from December 03-05, which covers:

  • Round-trip airfare.
  • Ground transportation in Uruguay.
  • Hotel accommodations (shared with another participant).
  • All-inclusive meals during the event.

6. General Terms

By participating, entrants agree to grant JA Americas the right to use their content posted during the contest for promotional purposes.

JA Americas reserves the right to disqualify any participant who fails to meet the requirements or violates the rules.

7. Liability

JA Americas is not responsible for any issues related to travel documentation (such as passport or visa) or any other circumstances that may prevent the winner from taking the trip.
