HP Life challenges young people in 3 cities in the region

  • In partnership with HP Life, we developed an Innovation Challenge for 395 young people in the cities of São Paulo, Brazil; Guadalajara, Mexico and Lima, Peru.

  • In teams, they will seek to develop a solution for the growing demand of talent with programming skills in the technology industry.

This program seeks to enhance the innovation and creativity skills of young people, and also to raise awareness on issues related to technology, entrepreneurship, climate change, gender inequalities, job readiness and others. It has different modules, where students acquire knowledge and tools related to the topics of design thinking, business model and elevator pitch, to develop their proposal.

This month, together with HP Life, we launched a new innovation challenge related to the technological world in the cities of São Paulo, Brazil; Guadalajara, Mexico and Lima, Peru.

The challenge:

The students must create a product or service capable of satisfying the growing demand for programming and information technology (IT) skills in Latin America. The aim is not only to make these contents more accessible, but also to make them more attractive to the public.

To carry out the challenge, they will form up teams that will be accompanied by HP Life volunteers. At the end of the day, each team will present an innovative solution through a pitch. All proposals submitted will be evaluated by a jury, which will analyze and select a winning team.

Earlier this month, the first innovation challenge was held in São Paulo, Brazil, and Sarah, a student at ETEC Ermelinda Giannini Teixeira, shared her experience with us:

"I found it to be a very good experience, which I am sure will add to my professional career. It encouraged me to be more active in producing something and I worked on issues like public speaking, dealing with pressure, dealing with different people in the group and their differences."

We continue to work to inspire the next generation of leaders, providing them with tools and helping to build a more promising and sustainable future for all.
